Mum’s the word

On Friday May 10, the Hilton Hotel on George Street, Sydney opened its doors to 600 mothers and daughters for a day of early celebration. It was a day of recognition for mothers across the globe, who dedicate their lives to making sure their children have the best possible start to life.

Among them was CMRI scientist, Dr. Megan Chircop, a mother and a cancer researcher who spoke about her work, which will one day help more mothers and children live long and healthy lives, so they can celebrate Mother’s Day together.

We’d like to thank all mums for simply being there in the meantime to offer unconditional love and support, which is sometimes a magical cure in itself.

We’ve picked out a few of our favourite photos and would like to extend a big thank you to the Hills committee for their hard work in organising such an amazing day.

Thanks also to guest speaker, Australian journalist and television presenter Lisa Wilkinson, and our MC for the day, Australian news presenter John Mangos.
